This beautiful mansion was rebuilt between 1744 and 1750 for Canon Charles-François-Denis d'Agay on the site of a former canonical house belonging to the Boitouset family. The property remained in the hands of the d'Agay family until the 19th century. In 1910, the hotel was sold to Monseigneur Sallot de Brobèque as the new residence of the archbishops. At the end of the visit to the Archbishop's Palace, discover the apse of the Holy Shroud in the Cathedral of St John. APSE OF THE HOLY SHROUD After the collapse of the cathedral's bell tower in 1729, the reconstruction of the bell tower and the eastern apse is entirely dedicated to the Holy Shroud. The decoration of this baroque apse, the work of the great Parisian architect Germain Boffrand (1667-1754), includes a prestigious collection of 18th century paintings. Prices: €8 - €6 for students, under 18s, members of the Tourist Office (on presentation of a card), disabled persons. Free for under 12s and jobseekers.
