Exhibitions to discover: Un minuto más, Esther Ferrer : Esther Ferrer's work is part of the Frac's collection, which itself questions the notion of time and, within this question, the performative dimension. It is works linked to these issues that have been given priority in this exhibition. In other words, works that deal with duration, the inscription of the body in time and space, life and death. Watch out, we're dancing! La Ribot: Since a major installation by La Ribot, 'Walk the Bastards (2017)', recently joined its collection, which questions the notion of time and, within this question, the performative and transdisciplinary dimension, the Frac wanted to devote a monographic exhibition to this 'undisciplined' artist. Through new or previously unseen installations in France, films and recent photographs such as those taken at the Prado, we will discover the extent to which the plastic dimension and the dialogue with the visual arts are omnipresent in the artist's work. The exhibition will be punctuated by choreographic performances (Pièce Distinguée 54 and LaBOLA) to reaffirm the living dimension of his approach. Performance SpO2, by Swiss artist Anne Rochat 9pm > 11pm (Free admission) For two hours, Anne Rochat and Jean Rochat (her twin brother) are immersed in the Doubs, in front of the Cité des Arts. They take turns sharing their oxygen, which is diffused through a single pipe. At the other end, on the riverbank, volunteers take it in turns to supply them with oxygen by operating bicycle pumps. The action is minimal, but vital: for two hours, the performers do nothing but breathe, to keep themselves alive. Underwater, two cameras capture the scene, which is retransmitted on a screen in the hall of the Frac. Microphones record the underwater sound, played live by musician Olga Kokcharova. A double system of interactions is thus established between the seabed and the surface, through the flow of air and sound.
