For many centuries, the people of Bisonne were occupied with wine-growing, and the city’s economic activity was essentially based on it, at least until the beginning of the 19th century. Today, the vineyard no longer occupies more than a few small plots, but the memory of this activity is still present in the place names of the streets, the architecture of certain houses, and the various sculptures and decorations that can still be admired. This visit to the heart of the city allows you to reconnect with the long history of wine in Besançon.
