In the heart of Besançon's historic centre, the Association des Commerçants du Marché des Beaux-Arts brings together 18 enthusiastic traders who bring this emblematic local landmark to life every day. Behind the colourful stalls, you'll find a wealth of regional flavours, fresh seasonal produce, human encounters and tasty treats.

Craftsmen, producers, restaurateurs and greengrocers combine their talents under the banner of the Marché des Beaux-Arts Traders' Association, whose mission is clear: to promote local trade, short distribution channels and local expertise, while cultivating a spirit of conviviality and authenticity.

    It features :
    - 2 greengrocers (including Fabrice André - Aux Poissons de mer),
    - 1 fishmonger,
    - 3 cheese makers (Crèmerie du Plateau, Crèmerie du Marché, Fromagerie Bouchet),
    - 2 butchers (Label Viandes - Katia et Sébastien Jacquet, Simon Saveurs),
    - 1 baker (Au Moulin des Pains),
    - 1 specialist in Haut Doubs cured meats (Salaisons Brian Renaudin),
    - 1 Italian grocer (Voyage à Rome by In FinE),
    - 1 South-West grocery with on-site tasting (Chez Méni),
    - 1 Asian grocer (Manivhan),
    - 1 Mediterranean specialities stand (Sous les Oliviers),
    - 2 restaurants (including La Table des Halles for a lunch break or morning coffee).

Throughout the year, the market comes alive with festive events, themed markets and friendly moments, inviting you to discover Bisontin's culinary heritage in a whole new way. Over a coffee with friends, a shared aperitif or a well-stocked shopping basket, the Marché des Beaux-Arts is a warm and welcoming place, as popular with locals as it is with visitors keen to sample the city's gourmet soul.
