Hôtel Gauthiot d'Ancier
Hôtel Gauthiot d'Ancier
The house of Simon Gauthiot d'Ancier, co-governor of Besançon and rival of Nicolas de Granvelle, was built at the beginning of the 16th century. The facade overlooking the main street, with its braced bays, is in keeping with late Gothic architecture. It was in this house that Simon Gauthiot d'Ancier received the Constable of Bourbon, who had gone into the service of Charles V.
