The indefatigable Nigerian artist Femi Anikulapo Kuti has the whole planet singing, dancing and thinking to the sound of Afrobeat. From the stage of the New Africa Shrine, his iconic club in the heart of bustling Lagos, where he plays several times a week, Femi takes his message of hope and unity to the four corners of the world. To see a Femi Kuti concert is to be transported into the scorching heat of a wild night of dance and trance at the New Africa Shrine, and to take part in a unique musical experience of rare generosity. For over two hours, Femi and his 12 musicians and dancers immerse the audience body and soul in the hypnotic grooves and powerful brass arrangements of afrobeat, an urban, modern and hybrid musical universe where traditional African sounds and Yoruba rhythms merge with jazz, funk, punk and hip hop. To hear Femi live on stage is to share a universal message of peace and resistance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Concert for all Free standing room Accessible with the Culture Pass Accessible with the Carte Avantages Jeunes For people with reduced mobility and children under 6, please contact us by email or telephone: billetterie@salineroyale.com - 03 81 54 45 45 Doors open: 7.30pm Concert starts: 8.30pm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The concert ticket does not give access to the exhibitions, but it does entitle you to a reduced entrance fee.
