The Petit Train Touristique offers a guided tour of Besançon's most emblematic districts. The route starts at the Rivotte car park and winds its way through the narrow streets of the old centre, taking in the city's architectural heritage, squares and historic monuments.
The route includes a climb up to the Besançon Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The train stops at the entrance to the fortress, offering passengers the chance to get off to visit the monument and catch a later train back to the city centre. During the 45-minute journey, an audio commentary (available in several languages) details the history of the city, from Gallo-Roman times to Vauban's fortifications.
Possibility of reserving a Bateau + Petit Train ticket
