Concert de l'Orchestre Français des Jeunes à la Saline royale

Unesco Partner member

In residence at the Saline Royale since 2023, the Orchestre Français des Jeunes returns this summer for two exceptional symphonic concerts, conducted by Estonian conductor Kristiina Poska. Concert 14/08 at 8.00 pm Under the baton of Kristiina Poska, their new musical director, the young musicians invite us to plunge into the heart of a masterpiece from the French repertoire: Debussy's La Mer. This ode to nature will be in dialogue with Mozart's moving Concerto No. 23, played by Alexandre Tharaud. Concert 25/08 at 8pm For all ages, her tales transport us to an enchanted Orient... Scheherazade, princess of the Thousand and One Nights, takes centre stage at the OFJ's second concert at the Saline Royale. Kristiina Poska and the OFJ have chosen Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade to celebrate Russian music, while Shostakovich's Concerto No. 2, performed by Alexandre Tharaud, reminds us just how much Russia was a land of keyboard virtuosos. With the presence of amateur artist(s).
