Concert de Yasmine Hamdan

  • ©

Yasmine first came to prominence in the late 1990s with the pioneering duo Soapkills, blazing a singular trail between Beirut and Paris, long before Arab electro entered the international music scene. From her collaboration with Mirwais on the Y.A.S. (Arabology) project, to her solo albums Ya Nass, Al Jamilat, and then "I Remember I Forget بنسى وبتذكر" (2024), she weaves elegant, deeply personal music. A constant dialogue between pan-Arab roots, pop, electro, soul, guitars and poetic lyrics. Her work has also led her into cinema, alongside the likes of Elia Suleiman and Jim Jarmusch, confirming a body of work that extends far beyond the concert stage. La Rodia welcomes her in January for a week of creation before her concert.
