The largest nature race in eastern France, the Trail des forts de Besançon offers five atypical courses of 60, 30, 21, 11, and 4km against the clock, harmoniously mixing nature and heritage and allowing you to discover the fortifications listed as Unesco World Heritage.
All runners have access to the famous Citadelle and its vertiginous passage with a view of the finish, and the main course even proposes to link the 10 18th and 19th century forts that protect the Vauban city. With its start/finish site on the banks of the Doubs, in the historic city centre of the capital of Besançon, a green city par excellence, the 20th Trail des forts de Besançon is going for big things. More than 6,000 runners are expected in 2023, confirming the growing enthusiasm of enthusiasts from all over France.
