Maison Pasteur

Louis Pasteur (1822-1895), inventor of the rabies vaccine, returned to Arbois throughout his life and his house has been perfectly preserved. From the billiards room to the laboratory, you can experience the home life of a great genius. The gardens also open.

No disabled access.

The Maison belongs to a number of networks, including Maison des Illustres and Jura Musées.

From 1 April to 31 May, and 1 to 15 October: 9:45am, 10:45am, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm.
1 June – 30 September: 9:45am, 10:45am, 11:45am, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm, 6:00pm.

Every day from 1 April to 15 October, reservation required. It is possible to book a tour in English, depending upon availability.

Free entry for teacher or accompanying adult (1 per 20 children).
In-depth tours are available: “Behind the Scenes” or “Pasteur and Wine”.
