The Organ Hours of the summer of 2022.
The Friends of the Besançon Organ are organising the Organ Hours of Summer 2022. In partnership with the Cathedral Saint-Jean de Besançon, seven organ concerts will be organised on 17, 24, 31 July as well as on 7, 14, 21 and 28 August at 4.30 pm. The historic Riepp-Kern organ, built in 1764, and the Gonzalez grand organ, inaugurated in 1987, will be heard.

Sunday 17 July, Jean Mislin concert. Works by Buxtehude, Bach, Handel, Lefébure-Wély, Dubois and Widor.
Sunday 24 July, Charles Metzger concert. Works by Boyvin, Pachelbel, Balbastre, Froberger, Czerny, Mozart, Lefébure-Wély, Vierne, Wesley and Boëly.
On Sunday 31 July, concert by the CRR prize-winners (Pierre-Yves Fleury’s class). Works by Bach, Couperin, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, Duruflé and Escaich. Riepp-Kern organ: Barthélemy Petrocelli; Gonzalez organ: Arnaud Carpentier.
Sunday 7 August, Laurent Agazzi concert. Works by Boehm, Marchand, Bach, and Lefébure-Wély.
Sunday 14 August, Jean Bourgeois concert. Works by Corrette, Bach, Walther and Pachelbel.
Sunday 21 August, works by Titelouze, Bach, Buxtehude, Widor and Guilmant. Historic Riepp-Kern organ: Pierre Staehlé; Gonzalez grand organ: Guillaume Chappuis.
On Sunday 28 August, Marie-Josèphe Petithuguenin concert with the participation of a vocal octet. Works by Frescobaldi, Clérambault, Bach, Brahms, Dandrieu and Vierne.
