The houses of architects built by themselves for their own residence do not always stand out from the common lot of ordinary private residences, especially in terms of size. However, on closer inspection, they often convey on their facades a message concerning the doctrine, the profession or the tastes of the master builder, i.e. a surplus of symbols or signs often absent elsewhere.
Moreover, as they are not anonymous houses, we sometimes know how the premises were occupied.
A tour to discover 7 houses of architects from Bisonne between the beginning of the 18th century and the end of the 19th century is proposed to go and meet these houses where they worked and lived.
Prices: €8 - €6 for students, under 18s, members of the Tourist Office (on presentation of a card), disabled persons. Free for children under 12 and job seekers.
