La Grande Mademoiselle, Marie-Lucie Cornillot, une vie de musées

Marie Lucie Cornillot (1905-2002) was curator of the listed Besançon museum between 1946 and 1972. Affectionately nicknamed "la grande mademoiselle" by her colleagues, she left her mark on all of Besançon's heritage. her colleagues, she left her mark on the whole of Besançon's heritage. The conservation of the furnishings of the Abbey of Saint-Paul between 2019 and 2021 was an opportunity to raise awareness of the considerable work of one of the only female curators of the post-war period, and to bring it back to the forefront. The exhibition La grande Mademoiselle, which will be held at the Centre's two museum sites, the Musée des Beaux-Arts et d'Archéologie and the Musée du Temps, is an opportunity to pay tribute both to the personality of a woman and to her work.
